Dog clothing? is its good for a yorkie?
my daughter wants to get clothes for our yorkie so i have three question one any place anyone knows that sells them two do dogs like them and three would they make clothes small enough our dog was the runt so its a tiny dog
Yes they make clothes small enough.
Most petstores, and even places like wal-mart and target have dog clothes. Alot of people make and sell dog clothes online, look at ebay.. even online pet stores like petedge.com have dog clothes.
Clothing will help keep your dog warm in the winter, expecially if you keep her in a short haircut. However, clothing is not an absolute necessity, since dogs do have hair.
Some dogs enjoy clothes, and some dogs do not. If your dog does not like clothes, then dont force the issue. If your dog enjoys it, then its fine as long as the clothing is not restricting movement, overheating the dog, or causing any discomfort.
Get a cheap t-shirt or sweater and try it out before you invest in much clothing. If your dog dislikes it, then explain to your daughter that not all dogs enjoy playing dress up.. dogs are meant to be dogs after all, and not dolls! Your daughter can find other accessories like collars, bandannas and leashes that your dog may enjoy more.
My dog is hairless and he does enjoy his clothes. He likes the attention he gets when I dress him up. He even “helps” put his clothes on by putting his head into the outfit and pushing his legs thru the sleeves.
