Dog Training Bergen County Nj

HELP!!! I adopted a dog over the summer that has dog aggression. Wat can I do?

My dog is a yellow lab pit bull mix and is under 2 years old. I’m in bergen county nj if anyone can suggest a training program and is there anything I can do myself to help?
Yes. If I’m walking with him on a leash he usually freezes up, fur stands on end and ears are flopped foward.. He looks very tense. I usually try to continue walking on our way but he has learned to crouch so low he is basically lieing down to the point that I can’t budge him. Today it was much different because he was off the leash at a dog park.. In which case he always starts out playing very rough focusing on one dog and trying to dominate. Within seconds he pushes the other dog over the limit and before you know it they are at each other’s throats. By the way.. He is extremely affectionate towards people and seeks out my family members to pet him all day long. I would never EVER put him down so there for that option is out of the question.

First off PITT BULLS are awesome dogs. If you are scared of them you are an ignorant person and have never been around them. Sorry peoples answers aggravate me. You first of all need to keep him or her away from other dogs if you can not fully control them. You can google dog training in your area and then give the trainers a call. Explain in detail just how the dog reacts when he is faced with another dog. You can while walking your dog carry treats on you. When another dog is present get the dogs attention and reward him so that he begins to realize that dogs mean treats. SPAY or NEUTER if they are not already. Can you explain in detail how your dog reacts around other dogs???
