Why won’t the GOP denounce dog-fighting?
Do they like it? Only a Dem senator has denounced it.
The strong words from Sen. Robert Byrd, D-WV, widely known for his devotion to animals, come as dogfighting controversy swirls around the Atlanta Falcons star quarterback. Vick and three others were indicted earlier this week on felony charges of competitive dogfighting, procuring and training pit bulls for fighting, and conducting the enterprise across state lines.
Byrd called the activities described in the Vick case “sadistic” and “barbaric.” At one point, Byrd began shouting and pumping his fist.
“Barbaric!,” he yelled. “Let that word resounding from hill to hill, and from mountain to mountain, and valley to valley across the broad land. Barbaric! Barbaric! May God help those poor souls who’d be so cruel. Barbaric! Hear me! Barbaric!”
You can’t possibly be that stupid. It isn’t even theoretically possible to be this stupid and operate a computer.
An attention seeking ashole senator that, if I’m not mistaken is about 213 years old, piggy-backs on to a hot issue due to a popular sports star being indicted, simply to steal the spotlight which he so covets for one last gasp before the grim reaper realizes he was supposed to take him 135 years ago but made a clerical error, and you think you have the wit to spin this into: “yeah we Leftists are the good guys.”
Well you don’t possess that wit pal, Byrd is a senile ex-klansmen who probably hung Black children from trees but thinks it is appropriate to scream at the injustice of dogfighting and talk of barbarism just so he can see himself on C-Span. Try again or better yet leave the political discourse to adults with actual intellect.
